What Do Chiropractors Treat?

Even though the first thing that may spring to mind is that chiropractors treat backs which they certainly do very successfully, today’s chiropractors also diagnose and treat other musculoskeletal disorders as well as a number of other conditions.

Chiropractors can treat:

  • Back, Neck and Shoulder problems
  • Joint, Posture and Muscle problems
  • Leg pain
  • Babies
  • Sports injuries
  • Headaches / Migraines
  • Children
  • Treatment during pregnancy
  • Neck Pain
  • Sports Professionals

Chiropractors take a holistic approach to your health and well being. This means that they consider your symptoms in the context of your full medical history, your lifestyle and your personal circumstances. Chiropractors provide a package of care that is evidence-based and widely recommended.

As well as physical manipulation, the full evidence based ‘package’ of care includes advice about exercise, lifestyle, and activity.

Although chiropractors generally use manipulation there are many other techniques that they can use. Our chiropractors also use Dry Needling (medical acupuncture), blocks, the activator and soft tissue work. Using all these techniques ensures that anyone or any age can be treated at Active Health. Our youngest patient has been 14 days old and our oldest patient is over 90.

We offer dry needling for painful muscles, and can advise whether this is suitable for you. We also offer corporate spinal screening within your workplace.
