When Will You Get Better

There is no definite answer to this question as every case is very different.

If you have had the problem for years it may take a little longer to improve than someone who has only just started to experience problems. Following your Initial Consultation your chiropractor will run through your recommended treatment plan and explain how long they think it will take for you to improve. Some patients feel significant improvements relatively quickly which is fantastic however this does not mean they are better yet. The pain is usually the last thing to come and the first thing to go. It is so important to adhere to the treatment plan as although the pain may have gone the underlying problem is still there and requires further attention. Our chiropractors recommend a 3 stage structured treatment plan.

Your chiropractor’s first goal is to get you out of pain and this can happen relatively quickly. Our chiropractors then aim to strengthen your back and introduce exercises for you to prevent the problem returning and also offer every patient maintenance appointments.

Maintenance is where patients have an adjustment every month to 3 months to keep the joints moving freely to prevent the problem from reoccurring. Maintenance appointments plus regular strength exercises will help you maintain good spinal health.

If you adhere to the treatment plan, do the exercises that your chiropractor advises and have regular checkups you could prevent the problem from reoccurring and as your nervous system is enabled to work to its full potential you can look forward to years of feeling great.

Some patients express that they have a lot more energy, symptoms like heart burn, period pain and irritable bowel syndrome have improved, they express that they generally feel better and that they are pain free.
